LAUNCH TEAM BLUEPRINT
What dates should I block off for Movement events?
Very important question! We’ll keep you in the loop on exact details via GroupMe (this hyperlink will only work on your phone), but here’s a general direction. Our rhythm will shift in November, as we transition into preparing for Launch Sunday as a team!
August 17th: Team Night
August 31st: Interest Party
September 21st: Team Night ***this is a unique “team night”. We’re going to the 11:30am service of Dreamers Church and then going to the Garland’s house afterwards for lunch. More details will be in the GroupMe closer to this date.
October 12th: Interest Party
October 26th: Team Night
November 16th: Interest Party
What exactly did I commit to again?
You’re an integral part of the Movement Church Launch Team, building this church before we ever have a service. In the Pre-Launch season (now-November), you’re inviting your people (friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, your social media followers) to come to our once-a-month Interest Parties, serving at the interest party, and coming once a month to our Team Night to get to know the other amazing members of the Launch Team and hearing more of the vision of Movement. Then, when 2026 rolls around, you’re our core group of volunteers (which we call our Dream Team), making Sundays at Movement Church a dynamic, life-changing experience!
What are some wins for me as a member of the Launch Team?
Follow us on social media! Interact when you see our posts. Share, like, comment. SHARING is the best! Here’s our Instagram and Facebook!
INVITE 3 people to every Interest Party. Friends, neighbors, family, co-workers. You never know what God might do through your invitation.
Get coffee with at least 2 people you don’t know on the team.
Wear your Movement shirt frequently when you’re out.
Prioritize being at Team Nights to build community with the team and discover more of the vision and culture of Movement.
Join our GroupMe and like messages when you’ve seen them.
Commit to being a part of the weekly prayer call as often as you can. (link here)
Someone asked me a controversial question about our church's stance on something. What should I do?
If anyone (on social media, while you invite them to an event, or at an event) asks a question about Movement’s stance on: LGBTQ, gender, abortion, sex before marriage, divorce, politics or any specific politician, Hell, or tithing, please connect them to Pastors Brandon or Maya for a conversation. You can say something like: “That’s a great question, and I want to make sure you hear the heart of our church and our pastor directly. I’d love to connect you with them.” Our heart in this is to serve you by not putting you in a position to answer something you aren’t comfortable answering, and to ensure that our exact position and the heart behind it come across in the answer.
When are we becoming a church?
We already are a church! Since when? Well, since the first people said yes to being on this team. The foundation of church has always been people, and now that we have people, we’re a church! But, we’re starting Sunday Services (fire worship, inspiring messages, excellent kids ministry, and more) in early 2026!
Where is Movement going to be meeting once Sunday Services start?
We’ll keep you in the loop, but the plan is the Hutto area. God has put the Northeast area of Austin on our hearts, and we’re incredibly excited to see what doors he opens for us as a church over the coming months!
Movement Launch Timeline
Now-November 2025
Build the Launch Team. How? Through Interest Parties, serving the community, and building brand awareness (online and physically). During this season, we’re also creating community for the Launch Team through Team Nights.
November 2025-January 2026
Train the Launch Team. Shift from adding people to the Launch Team to training and equipping everyone on the team to be prepared for Movement’s first Sunday services.
January/February 2026
Launch Movement Church! We’ll have our opening Sunday in early 2026, and, with the help of our Launch Team personally inviting everyone they know as well as a massive promotional push, we’ll welcome hundreds from our community into our church.
